Description	:	Bertha "Bert" Busch, 90, of Shell Rock, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Shell Rock Healthcare Center in Shell Rock, Iowa. Bertha Mae Busch was born on November 28, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Meinders) Willis in Aplington, Iowa. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1944. On October 14, 1945, she was united in marriage to Lester Busch at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Bertha was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly, Iowa on June 9, 1946. Read More	Bertha "Bert" Busch, 90, of Shell Rock, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the Shell Rock Healthcare Center in Shell Rock, Iowa. Bertha Mae Busch was born on November 28, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Meinders) Willis in Aplington, Iowa. She graduated from Plainfield High School in 1944. On October 14, 1945, she was united in marriage to Lester Busch at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Bertha was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waverly, Iowa on June 9, 1946. Bert worked at Mooney Variety Store in Waverly, Chamberlin Manufacturing in Waterloo, Iowa; as a home maker and finally at the Waverly-Shell Rock High School in the hot lunch program. Bert liked doing handwork, playing cards, but most especially spending time with her family and friends. Survivors are her daughter, Janice (Paul) Thurm of Waverly, Iowa; son, Larry (Marilyn) Busch of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester Busch on October 14, 2000; granddaughter, Kari Busch and two sisters, Irene Mohr and Velma Hedensten. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Paul Schaeding officiating.
