Description	:	Bertha (Bertina) was confirmed at Little Cedar Church, Adams, MN, on September 13, 1884. She married Espen Groth in 1888. P. Groth. Mrs. Groth had been in poor health for several years and the end did not come unexpectedly. Bertha Olava Revling was born in Christiana, Norway on September 18, 1868. She came to America at 21 years of age. On November 27, 1897, she was united in marriage to Espen P. Groth at Mona, iowa. To this union 14 children were born of whom six sons and three daughters survive. They are Archie, Ernie and Harvey of Enderlin, Orlie of Lisbon, Perrie, Endie and Mrs. Bessie Craft of Minneapolis, Mrs. Owen Davis and Rubie Groth of St. Paul. After living at Lyle, Minnesota, a number of years, the family in 1898 moved to Moore Township in Ransom County where Mr. Groth engaged in farming until they moved to Enderlin a few years ago. Mrs. Groth was held in high respect in the community and was known as a king and loving mother and neighbor and was an active member in her church. Services were held from Fillmore Church at 10:30 Wednesday morning, Rev. Lutness officiating. Burial was in Fillmore Cemetery. Besides her husband and children she is survived by 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, four brothers, Albert and Henry Revling of Amidon, ND, Olaf of Miles City, Montana and Emil of Minneapolis.
