Description	:	Mrs. Bertha Vivian Sanders, 83, Millfield, died Monday at her home. She was a member of Eudora Chapter 72, Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the 50 year old Millfield needle club. She was also postmaster at Millfield from 1909 to 1921. Born on an Amesville farm, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Susan Smith. From the age of four she was reared in the home of the late Lewis and Jenny Sanders. She was a member of Eudora Chapter 72, Order of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the 50 year old Millfield needle club. She was also postmaster at Millfield from 1909 to 1921. Born on an Amesville farm, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Susan Smith. From the age of four she was reared in the home of the late Lewis and Jenny Sanders. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clarence E. Sanders, two sons, Lewis W. And Charles W. Of Millfield, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. A son, Dr. C. Niles Sanders and one grandchild preceded her in death. Services in charge of the Warren funeral home and were held at 2 PM Thursday at the Millfield Church of Christ, conducted by the Rev. Paul Johnson. Friends may call at the Charles W. Sanders residence, Millfield, after 6 PM Tuesday. -Athens Messenger, October 12, 1965.
