Description	:	Bess Nicholson Brunick, 93, of Sioux Falls, died on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Augustana Nursing Home in Apple Valley, MN. Born in 1921 in Wakonda, after graduating from Meckling High School in the class of 1939, she attended the University of South Dakota. She married her high school sweetheart, Ervin Brunick, in Abilene, TX, in 1942. Read More	Bess Nicholson Brunick, 93, of Sioux Falls, died on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Augustana Nursing Home in Apple Valley, MN. Born in 1921 in Wakonda, after graduating from Meckling High School in the class of 1939, she attended the University of South Dakota. She married her high school sweetheart, Ervin Brunick, in Abilene, TX, in 1942. During the time Erv was stationed in Europe, she returned to Vermillion and worked for the Bell Telephone Company until the end of the WWII. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, family was her number one priority. She also enjoyed working part time to supplement the family income as a church secretary in Springfield, IL, and after the family moved to Sioux Falls, as a secretary for the Hoover Company, Doanne Agricultural Farm Management Company and the State Sales Tax Department. Bess and Erv lived in Sioux Falls for 50 years and celebrated 67 years of marriage. Bess was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ervin Brunick; brother, Harold Nicholson; sister, June Nicholson; father, Earl Nicholson; and mother, Lennie Nicholson. She is survived by her son, Larry Brunick; daughter, Elaine Yeo; four grandsons, Scott Brunick, Andrew Brunick, John Yeo and Adam Yeo; sisters-in-law, Natalie Johnson and Ardis Hammerquist; and 17 nieces and nephews.
