Father Bead of Conception, Missouri, was in charge of the service, and burial was in the Villisca Cemetery. The pallbearers were Quincy Dunn, a. A. Dunn, Ray Dunn, Grover Holt, Francis Davis, and C. R. Taylor. Bessie Higgins, daughter of Samuel and Minerva Higgins, was born February 27, 1889, in Page County, Iowa, and grew to womanhood in and around Villisca, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert A. Dunn, November 10, 1909. After residing several years near Villisca, she and her husband moved to West Point where they continued to live until her death. During the last four years they made a home for two grandnieces, children of Robert Hoit, who was killed in a truck accident. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her husband, four brothers, Fred and Guy Higgins of Berkeley, California, Clyde and Charley Higgins of Villisca, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Francis Davis of Corning and Mrs. Grover Holt of Villisca. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers and two sisters. Those here from a distance to attend the funeral were Robert A. Dunn, Patricia and Robert Holt, Mr. and Mrs. James Holt, and Sharon, West Point, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Oshel and Sandra, Omaha, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Phil Rathbone, Seattle, Washington, and Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Dunn, Omaha, Nebraska.
