Description	:	From the LaFollette Press, Thursday, August 11, 1977: Mrs. Bessie Mars, 90, of Clinton, died July 25 at Care Inn in Loudon, where she had been a patient since she sustained a stroke last year. She was a native of Wells Springs, one of the founders of the Fincastle United Methodist Church and a Campbell County teacher for a number of years. She was the widow of Jake Mars. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Roy Cooper of LaFollette, Mrs. Jack Boling of Athens, and Mrs. Robert Tacker of Upper Darby, Pa.; two sons, William F. Mars of Clinton, and Charlie W.
