Description	:	Mrs. Boles Succumbs Wednesday Morning Mrs. May boles, pioneer resident of Miller, died shortly before noon Wednesday, September 26. Mrs. Boles death occurred at the Memorial hospital. Tuesday forenoon, Mrs. Boles lost her balance while coming down stairs at her home, and fell the last four steps of the flight. She was found soon afterward by Mrs. Clara Owens, and removed to the hospital at once. Examination showed that she had suffered cuts and bruises over her entire body, and was suffering greatly from shock. Because of her condition it had been impossible to take any x-rays. Funeral arrangements are pending the arrival of relatives. A brother lives in Huron, and another in California. A nephew, Gifford Murphy, lives in Brookings. Mrs. Boles lived alone, but rented rooms to steady roomers. She was 87 years old, and for a number of years had suffered with arthritis, which had kept her closely confined to her home. The daughter of pioneer parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gifford, she came to this country in 1882, at the age of 13. Following her marriage to Grant Boles, they made their home in Logan Township until 1909 when they moved to Miller. Her husband died three years ago. They had no children.
