Description	:	FORREST, Bette J. Bette J. Forrest of Ivoryton died on October 10, 2008, at the age of 75. She was the widow of William N. Forrest. She was born May 17, 1933 the daughter of the late William C. and Virginia (Stickney) Johnson and the granddaughter of the late Attorney F. Howard and Harriet (Roath) Stickney and the late William and Harriet (Wycherly) Johnson. Bette was predeceased by four sisters, Miriam Martin, Margie Johnson, Marilyn Roath Johnson, and Winifred Torrens. She was a graduate of Valley Regional High School, Class of 1953. Howard and Harriet (Roath) Stickney and the late William and Harriet (Wycherly) Johnson. Bette was predeceased by four sisters, Miriam Martin, Margie Johnson, Marilyn Roath Johnson, and Winifred Torrens. She was a graduate of Valley Regional High School, Class of 1953. After graduation Bette was employed by Pratt Reed as a personal secretary for 36 years and then promoted to corporate secretary until the company's closing. She then was employed with Ritten House Paper Company until her retirement in 1998. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Deborah A. and Robert E. Lee of Waterford, a cousin Marilyn Stickney Guffey of Deep River, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Mass at the Ivoryton Congregational Church, Main Street, Ivoryton on Thursday, October 16, at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ivoryton Congregational Church, Main Street, Ivoryton, CT 06442 or a charity of choice.
