Read More	FORREST, William Norman William Norman Forrest 68 yrs of Ivoryton died on Tuesday (June 27, 2006) in Middlesex Hospital, Middletown. Husband of Bette (Johnson) Forrest. William was born in Hartford, on September 22, 1928 the first child of Dexter T., and Helen (Pitman) Forrest. During his youth he resided in Old Saybrook, where he attended the public schools. He displayed interest in civic and fraternal affairs throughout his life. He became an Eagle Scout, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps after high school and served from 1956 to 1960. He became an Auxiliary Trooper, Connecticut State Police, Troop F and served for 12 years. He joined the Brotherhood of Protective Elks, #1784, Westbrook, and served as their Exalted Ruler twice, 1980-81 and 1986-87. He worked as a Design Draftsman for Diversified Products, West Haven plant and in a supervisory position for Pratt-Read Corporation, Ivoryton, Sheffield Tube Corporation, New London and Ames Department Store, Old Saybrook retiring in 2002. He joined Solar Lodge #131 A.F. & A.M. He was raised October 5, 1981. He served as Worshipful Master in 1987. He was a member of the Franklin Chapter No. 4, (now Benevolence No. 4). He served as: Most Excellent High Priest of Franklin Chapter No. 4 in 1985, received and greeted on Nov. 1, 1986 in Franklin Council No. 3 (now Mystic No. 3), Thrice Illustrious Master of Franklin Council No. 3 in 1986, and Knighted in Columbian Commandery. No. 4 on Oct. 29,1983, (now Palestine No. 6), Eminent Commander of Columbian Commandery #4 in 1987 and Right Eminent Grand Commander Knights Templar for the State of Connecticut 1998-1999. On September 16, 1967 he married the former Bette Johnson and also is survived by one Daughter Deborah Anne Lee and her husband Robert E. Lee of Waterford, one Brother Donald C. Forrest of Clinton. A Knights Templar services will take place on Saturday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main St, Centerbrook. Visiting hours will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. to time of service. Contributions in his memory may be made to Brave Hearts & Kind Souls, c/o Peter S.
