Wills, 82, beloved daughter, sister, mother, grand and great grandmother, passed through heaven’s gates on Sept 23, 2014 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Betty was born at her grandmother’s house northeast of Alliance on August 24, 1932.She attended school at Grandview Elementary and graduated from Alliance High School in 1950. Betty was born at her grandmother’s house northeast of Alliance on August 24, 1932.She attended school at Grandview Elementary and graduated from Alliance High School in 1950. In 1953, she married Harold “Bud” Wills. Betty worked for Fairmont Foods and A H Jones Company while attending high school. She did the bookkeeping and store front work for Buds Saddle & Seat Repair and bookkeeping for Wills welding. She also worked as a part time secretary at her church. In 1974, Betty began working at Electric Hose & Rubber company/Dayco/Parker.She worked there for 28 years. Betty supported her children’s activities by helping with Alliance Roping Club, High School Rodeo, Fun Days, Nebraska Rodeo Association and PRCA. Betty’s lifetime goal was to be a good wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.Betty was a lifetime member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, charter member of “Learn & Laugh” extension club and Alliance Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.She served as secretary, treasurer and president in these organizations. She was an active member of LWML and Friends in Christ at Immanuel Lutheran Church. She sang in the choir and sang at many funerals, weddings, etc. Betty shared 51 years of marriage with Bud. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Harold “Bud” Wills, brother-in-law Gary Whitlock, nephew Doug Whitlock, father Bill Bartels and several aunts, uncles and cousins.Memorial services will be held September 29, 2014, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium. Bates-Gould Funeral Home
