Description	:	Betty C. Walker, of Davenport, died January 5, 2021 at the age of 91 in her home with her husband and daughter at her bedside. She was born February 16, 1929 in Agency, Iowa to Lawrence “Deke” and Celetha E. Haines McCoy. Betty married Wayne W. Walker on June 11, 1950. A graduate of Agency High School, Betty was a homemaker for many years with a love for flowers, hummingbirds and cardinals as big as her heart. Walker, of Davenport, died January 5, 2021 at the age of 91 in her home with her husband and daughter at her bedside. She was born February 16, 1929 in Agency, Iowa to Lawrence “Deke” and Celetha E. Haines McCoy. Betty married Wayne W. Walker on June 11, 1950. A graduate of Agency High School, Betty was a homemaker for many years with a love for flowers, hummingbirds and cardinals as big as her heart. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Davenport. Most of all, Betty loved spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her husband, Wayne, her children, Dennis Walker of Holstein and Jane (Gene) Beinke of Clinton; 5 grandchildren, Matthew Beinke, Betsey Beinke-Larson, Jennifer Walker-Holt (Tim), Rindy Hills, and Justin Walker; siblings, David McCoy, Stephen “Doug” McCoy, Dick (Vickie) McCoy, Bonnie (Jim) Huddleston and Judy Jordan, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Georgia “Dode” Jones, Rose McKinney, LaVerne “Bub” McCoy and Linda Berry. Private funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, January 9th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. Burial will be in the Agency Cemetery. For those unable to attend the service, you may watch live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice, 2546 Tech Drive, Bettendorf, IA 52722.
