She was born January 30, 1946 in Wapello County, Iowa to Lawrence Wallace "Deke" and Celetha E. Haines McCoy. She married Gary Berry on December 30, 1968. He passed away in 1991. Linda worked as a CNA at the Van Buren and Jefferson County Homes. The last ten years of her career she managed the Douds Kwik Stop, retiring in 2010. She was born January 30, 1946 in Wapello County, Iowa to Lawrence Wallace "Deke" and Celetha E. Haines McCoy. She married Gary Berry on December 30, 1968. He passed away in 1991. Linda worked as a CNA at the Van Buren and Jefferson County Homes. The last ten years of her career she managed the Douds Kwik Stop, retiring in 2010. Linda enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting, traveling, going to casinos, and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her best friend and significant other, Dale Weller; two daughters, Shelly (Todd) Guffey of Libertyville, Iowa, Crystal (Charley) Weaver of Douds, Iowa; five grandchildren, Cody (Cassy) Guffey, Dallas Guffey, Tyler Guffey, Chance (Kaylin) Wilcox, Sara Weaver; three great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Doug McCoy, David McCoy, Dick McCoy, Betty Walker, Bonnie Huddleston, and Judy Jordan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Amber Pilcher; and three siblings, Bub McCoy, Dode Jones, and Rose McKinney. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Pedrick Funeral Home - Douds with Pastor Nathan Chaplin officiating. Burial will be at the Agency Cemetery in Agency, Iowa. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home in Douds. Memorials have been established to Hospice of Wapello and Davis County and to RettSyndrome.org for research.
