She was born on November 29, 1930 in College Corner, OH to George and Nell Montgomery. She married James (Jim) Rodeffer on November 29, 1949 In College Corner, IN. They were blessed to have 48 years of marriage. Betty was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was passionate about sending cards to family and friends, never missing a birthday. She is survived by three daughters, Debbie (Andy) Bean of Lakeland, FL, Connie Rodeffer of Columbus, OH, Carman Ponder of Oxford, MS, and one son Steve (Jennifer) Rodeffer of Lakeland, FL., along with 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband James Douglas Rodeffer, two brothers Joe Montgomery, Kenneth Montgomery, two sisters-in-law Jean Montgomery, Mary Ellen Montgomery and one son-in-law David Ponder. A graveside service will be conducted on January 16, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the College Corner Cemetery with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating. The service will be open to family and friends while respecting CDC guidelines. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to College Corner Presbyterian Church, 112 S State Line Rd, College Corner, OH 45003 or Cornerstone Hospice, 2140 East CR 540A, Lakeland, FL 33813
