She donated her body to the Nebraska Anatomical Board for science, along with her husband, who just passed away three weeks prior. Brockhaus-Howser Fillmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. ------ 1932-2017 Betty Jane (Herley) Parks, daughter of Oswald and Susie (Hague) Herley, was born Nov. 9, 1932, at Clearwater. She attended country school and then Neligh High School. She was married to LeRoy V. Parks, Feb. 3, 1950, at Neligh. They were married 67 years. Four children were born to them: Kenneth, Linda, Kevin and Keith. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Norfolk. Survivors include her children: Kenneth Parks and spouse Diane from Osage Beach, Mo., Linda (Parks) and spouse Dennis Ptak from Lakewood Village, Texas, Kevin Parks and spouse Donna of Norfolk; and Keith Parks of Norfolk, and her brother, Kenneth Herley of Norfolk. She had six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Herley; her father, Oswald Herley; two brothers, Reed and Arlon; one sister, Vera (Herley) Lou; and her husband, LeRoy Parks. She was small of stature but mighty of spirit. Her love for her husband was second only to her faith in God. Her life was a testament to her faith and sharing it with the people around her. Faith and family were two of her highest priorities and she was fiercely committed to them. She always prayed for "favor" for her loved ones, and her prayers have come true many times over. We are "favored" to have had her in our lives for so long. She was an inspiration! Memorial managed by 8th cousin
