Description	:	Betty Becker Obituary Betty J. Becker, 62, Marcus, died Sunday, May 12, 1991, at St. Luke's Regional Medical Center after a long illness. Memorial services have been scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Marcus, with Rev. Carl Rydholm, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Memorial Park, Le Mars. Mrs. Becker, the former Betty Jean Rohlfsen, was born Jan. 16, 1929, in Marcus, the daughter of George and Lydia (Kilker) Rohlfsen. She moved with her family to a farm south of Le Mars as a child. She attended school in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars High School in 1946. She was married to Robert L. Becker on Sept. 4, 1949, in Le Mars. They lived in communities in Iowa and Nebraska where Robert taught in schools. She then assisted her husband in operating a Gambles Store in Central City, Neb. They retired and moved to Marcus in 1986. Mrs. Becker was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and the WLCA of the church. She is survived by her husband Robert L.; a son and his wife, Kurt and Sheri, Kearney, Neb.; a daughter, Lisa Jean Lewis, San Diego, Calif; a brother, Herb Rohlfsen, Cleghorn; two sisters, Ruth Gearke, Le Mars, and Shirley Rohlfsen, Huntington Beach, Calif. Preceding her in death were her father and mother and a stepfather, Henry Meyer; and two brothers, Russell and Stanley.
