Interment will be in Americus, Kan. Betty June Alley was born Jan. 8, 1937, at Alpena to Floyd and Winifred (Jeffers) Alley. They lived in Huron, Nampa, Idaho, and McAllen, Texas, where she graduated from high school in 1954. Interment will be in Americus, Kan. Betty June Alley was born Jan. 8, 1937, at Alpena to Floyd and Winifred (Jeffers) Alley. They lived in Huron, Nampa, Idaho, and McAllen, Texas, where she graduated from high school in 1954. She graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas, in 1958, and moved to Wichita, Kan., to teach. She married Calvin Maxwell Aug. 1, 1959, at Wichita. They lived in Azusa, Calif., Omaha, Grand Island, Neb., and Montevideo, where she taught parent education for Community Ed and was a migrant program teacher. She was active at Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school, was the Christian education coordinator, and enjoyed Bible study. She was active at United Methodist Church with the prayer chain and turkey suppers. She was a member of AAUW and the Garden Club. She enjoyed gardening, baking and drying flowers.
