She was the wife of Roy P. Summers, who died April 25, 1981. Born Feb. 17, 1926, in Frederick, she was the adopted daughter of the late Roger V. and Dora V. Wiles. Mrs. Summers was a longtime resident of Middletown, Harmony area. She was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville, and for about 20 years attended Edgewood Church of God. Read More	Mrs. Betty Summers Mrs. Betty Lee Eigenbrode Wiles Summers, 77, of Middletown, died Sunday, June 8, at the home of her son, Dallas Summers, on Shookstown Road, Frederick. She was the wife of Roy P. Summers, who died April 25, 1981. Born Feb. 17, 1926, in Frederick, she was the adopted daughter of the late Roger V. and Dora V. Wiles. Mrs. Summers was a longtime resident of Middletown, Harmony area. She was a member of Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville, and for about 20 years attended Edgewood Church of God. Her health prevented her from attending church the last two years. She worked for several years as a waitress but was mostly a homemaker. She loved flowers and watching television but mostly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also was a Baltimore Orioles fan. She is survived by a son, Dallas Roy Summers and wife Frances of Frederick; four sisters, Grace Page of California, Mary Burns of Hagerstown, Clantha Sheffer of Frederick, and Dora Jane Schildknecht and husband Floyd of Hagerstown; three brothers, Ralph Wiles of Frederick, Roger G. Wiles and wife Mary Ann of Myersville, and Clyde Wiles of Frederick; four granddaughters, Melissa Summers Arney and husband Matt of Myersville, Kelli D. Summers of Williamsport, Terri A. Summers of Frederick, and Renee M. Summers of Myersville; three great-grandchildren, Aaron, Justin and Alyssa Arney, all of Myersville; a daughter-in-law, Gwen Summers of Myersville; and many nieces and nephews. She also will be remembered by her granddaughter's boyfriend, Matt Working; and close friends, Paul and Mary Specht and Betty Ramsburg. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Curtis Summers on Dec. 4, 1991; and a brother, Paul V. Wiles. Friends may call any time Wednesday, June 11, at Donald B. Thompson Funeral Home, 31 E. Main St., Middletown, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 12, at Edgewood Church of God, Edgewood Road, Frederick. The Rev. Ray Benner, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Tracy L. Wiser, pastor of Harmony Church of the Brethren, Myersville, will officiate. The Rev. Robert Wills Jr. will deliver the eulogy. Music will be provided at the service. Interment will be in Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Myersville. Bearers are Roy Capino, Ronald Soule, Donn Ebberts, Paul LaBrush, Jimmy Gladhill, Don Frey, Paul Specht and Keith Crist.
