Read More	Betty Lorraine Tittel, nee Walker, died peacefully in Ord, Nebraska December 16, 2017 at 94 years of age. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth Tittel of Taylor, Nebraska. Also surviving her are their three grateful children: Colleen (Skip) Richards of Alaska; Bradley Tittel of Norfolk, Nebraska; and Tina (Gary) Hyde of Taylor, Nebraska; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her two siblings, sister Vera Walker and brother Howard (Bubs) Walker, whose widow, Marge Walker Enright, and her children Brenda, Terry and Robyn, all of Colorado, remember her fondly. Also special to her were her surviving sister-in-law Norma Tittel Kite and husband Les of Oklahoma City. Betty was born May 10, 1923 outside Alliance, Nebraska to Arthur “Bud” and Helen Anderson Walker. After graduating high school she worked during the war years at the Alliance airfield and later for several years for Ma Bell in Phoenix. After touring Europe she married Kenneth Tittel, June 30, 1957, and they settled in Alliance to raise their family. She was intensely devoted to her family, home and church life while maintaining many other interests including physical and creative pursuits, and she managed the finances of a family business, B & K Auto. Throughout her life she continued in volunteerism. After her family was raised, she welcomed every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren. Though now far flung, they all remained dear to her heart. While on Earth she was a gentle and empathetic spirit with a ready laugh; and she was greatly loved by all who were blessed to know her. Betty enjoyed a robust social life and together with her best friend, her husband, treasured lifelong friendships forged during their residences in Alliance, Greeley, Colorado and their retirement community of Garfield, Arkansas. She spent her final two years with him at home with their daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Gary Hyde, at the Hyde ranch outside Taylor, Nebraska, where she enjoyed the company of family members, pets and friendly locals. A memorial service will be held at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery in Alliance at a later date, where her cremains are to be interred. Her soul she gave to Jesus.
