Description	:	Betty M. Daye Rulon, 86, of Wilmington, died at 11:17 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Clinton Memorial Hospital. Her husband, Richard L. Rulon, preceded her in death March 23, 1997. They were married Dec. 28, 1947. Mrs. Rulon was born May 30, 1929 in Dayton, daughter of the late Estel G. Daye Sr. and Ethel Shank Daye. Rulon, preceded her in death March 23, 1997. They were married Dec. 28, 1947. Mrs. Rulon was born May 30, 1929 in Dayton, daughter of the late Estel G. Daye Sr. and Ethel Shank Daye. She was a 1947 graduate of New Vienna High School and attended Miami Jacobs Business College in Dayton. Mrs. Rulon retired from Daye Hardware Store in New Vienna, where she had worked for many years. She was a member of the Lynchburg Church of Christ and the New Vienna O.E.S. She is survived by her two sons, Stephen (Rose) Rulon of Virginia and James Rulon of Wilmington; her grandson, Jeffrey (Amanda) Rulon of Wilmington; a great-granddaughter, Jordan Rulon; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Daye and Betty Thompson, both of Wilmington; a brother-in-law, Damon Hughes of Middletown; extended family, Linda Rulon of Wilmington, Janice Carey-Rulon of Wilmington, Jenny (Jim) Hamric of Springboro, Johnathan Crabtree of Wilmington, Shana (Jaden) Mcfadden of Lynchburg, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, a brother, Estel G. Daye Jr., is preceded in death. A celebration of Mrs. Rulon's life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 11 at L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home, 64 S. South St., New Vienna. Interment will be in New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, March 11 at the L. Eugene Smith & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Care Hospice, P.O. Box 123, Wilmington, OH 45177 or to a charity of the donor's choice .
