Description	:	Betty (Martin) Gillenwater, age 82, of Madison, died of an apparent heart attack on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. She was preceded in death three months ago by her husband of 63 years, Arthur Gillenwater. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Joe "Speed" Martin and Marie Martin Butcher; and one brother, Bobby Paul Martin. She is survived by her brother, Reggie Martin of Madison; sons, Bill Gillenwater and wife, Bonnie of Woodville, Roger Gillenwater and wife, Donna, of Madison; daughter, Claudia Greear and husband, Kyle of Brunswick, Ohio; grandchildren, Lisa Marr and Stacia Rowe of Brunswick, Ohio, Michelle... She is survived by her brother, Reggie Martin of Madison; sons, Bill Gillenwater and wife, Bonnie of Woodville, Roger Gillenwater and wife, Donna, of Madison; daughter, Claudia Greear and husband, Kyle of Brunswick, Ohio; grandchildren, Lisa Marr and Stacia Rowe of Brunswick, Ohio, Michelle Szkolnik of Canastota, New York, Erica White of Madison, Jonathan Gillenwater of Holden, Stephen Gillenwater of Martinsburg, Gregory Gillenwater of Danville, and Abbey Hunter of Woodville; aunt and sister-in-law, Lorraine Gillenwater of Madison; and special cousins, Jo Ann Harmon and Sylvia Clark of Madison, and Corky Debusk of Gray, Tennessee. She is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Betty loved life and even the simplest of things could bring a smile to her face. She was a wonderful and caring person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of the Methodist Church and Boone Memorial Hospital Auxillary. Services will be 11 am Monday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Boone Memorial Park, Madison. Friends may call from 6 to 9 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
