She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lloyd Hester; a son-in-law, Gene Allen Lovette, Sr.; a sister, Opal P. Eller; five brothers, Walter Joe Phillips, Lawrence Phillips, Henry Phillips, Robert Phillips and Johnny Phillips. She is survived by: a daughter, Betsy Hester Lovette of Wilkesboro; two grandchildren and a brother, Tony Joe Phillips of Boomer. A graveside service will be held Friday...
