She married Glen Cantrell and he preceded her in death October 29, 1981. She married James Lowe and he preceded her in death in August of 1999. A resident of Ottumwa all her life, she had worked at John Morrell and Co. for 24 years and at North Hy-Vee Bakery for 9 years. She was a lifetime member of Davis Street Christian Church.... Betty’s favorite hobby was spending time with her family. Surviving is a son, David (Linda) Cantrell of Dubuque; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a sister, Martha Fort of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by a son, Garry Cantrell; 5 brothers, Roy, Orville, Emmett, Ralph and Don Agee; 3 sisters, Nellie Stuehm, Lucille Teeter and Dorothy Canny. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. James H. Wakelin officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday with the family present from 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Davis Street Christian Church.
