Description	:	OTTUMWA — Betty Lentner, 88, died May 4, 2011, at the Ridgewood Care Center. She was born April 22, 1923, in Ottumwa to Vern and Vida (Ackles) Wentworth. She married Wade Summers Lentner on Nov. 5, 1944, at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. He preceded her in death June 26, 1985. Betty had worked at Galey's Ice Cream, with the Siegel family as a shiksa, and at the Morrell Meat Packing Company before she was married and later in life at Standard Kolsman and St. Joseph Hospital. She was born April 22, 1923, in Ottumwa to Vern and Vida (Ackles) Wentworth. She married Wade Summers Lentner on Nov. 5, 1944, at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. He preceded her in death June 26, 1985. She had been a member of the Willard Street United Methodist Church in Ottumwa. She is survived by two sons, two daughters, five grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Doris Scieszinski, Wanna Henderson and Margaret Carlo.
