Description	:	Orpha Pauline Bix, 94, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 2:10 p.m. June 9, 2013 at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield. She was born Feb. 26, 1919, to Vern and Vida Ackels Wentworth. She married Charles Bix on July 4, 1939. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1980. Surviving are four grandchildren, Erin Bix, Jennifer Winchell, Sherri Bix and Mike Daly, all of Ottumwa; six great-grandchildren; her daughter-in-law, Leila Bix of Ottumwa; a sister, Tish (Floyd) Huntley of California. She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Nathan Bix; four sisters, Wauna Henderson, Betty Lentner, Margaret “Monte” Carlo and Doris...
