Description	:	Beulah Gordon, 91, of Webster City, died Monday, June 25, 2007 at Crestview Senior Living. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Kem officiating. Private graveside services will be held at the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be at the First Baptist Church from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Arrangements were made with the Foster Funeral and Cremation Center. Beulah Maxine Johnson, daughter of Julius and Fern Dally Johnson, was born Dec. 14, 1915 on a farm north of Stratford. On Feb. 26, 1938, she married Kenneth Gordon at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The couple farmed east of Duncombe and moved to Webster City in 1980, then to Crestview Apartments in 2005. She attended rural schools, graduated from Lincoln High at Webster City and graduated from Webster City Junior College. She also attended Drake University at Des Moines. She taught for four years in rural Hamilton county schools, one year at Blairsburg and 16 years in the Webster City Community Schools. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, Cradle Roll superintendent, Circle chairman, Deaconess, Christian Education board and Women's Society office. She was a member of Webster County Retired Teachers Association and Webster City Elementary Teachers Club. She was a long time member of The Webster City Women's Club and the Aunt Jane's Club. She was a member of the Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary and the Webster City Christian Women's Club. Mrs. Gordon is survived by her husband, Kenneth; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Mark Sullivan of Broken Arrow, Okla.; granddaughters, Becky Orton (Troy) Cretsinger of Norwalk, and Brenda Orton (Lee) Belt of Broken Arrow; grandsons, Shane and Sarah Sullivan of Fremont, Neb., and Ryan and Julie Sullivan of Kansas City, Mo.; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marjorie Scott of Webster City, Mavis Coleman of Kamrar, and Shirley Chalfant of Wenatchee, Wash.; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Janice Gordon Hayes and Ruth Gordon; and brother, Vernie Johnson.
