Read More	Beva Jean Wedeking-Gilbert, 42, of Clarksville, was born Nov. 3, 1959, at Municipal Hospital in Waverly, Iowa. She is a daughter of Leo and Dorothy (Bruns) Wedeking. Beva passed away July 16, 2002 at 9:50 p.m., at her home from leukemia. She graduated from Clarksville Community High School in 1978, and completed two additional years in nursing at Hawkeye Tech in Waterloo. On September 30, 1995, Beva married Duane Gilbert at Community United Methodist Church in Clarksville. They made their home in Clarksville. Beva worked at Larrabee Center in Waverly as a nurse for the mentally and physically disabled. She also served on the Client Care Review Board. Beva was a life-long member of Community UMC where she was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith. She enjoyed cooking for various church activities and for her family. Beva enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, landscaping, shopping and reading. She especially loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Ann Bruns; step-maternal grandmother, Susan Bruns; paternal grandparents, Arnold and Janie Wedeking. Beva is survived by her husband, Duane Gilbert and their two sons, Skyler Wedeking Gilbert, age 5, and Tanner Wedeking Gilbert, age 3, of Clarksville; her parents, Leo and Dorothy Wedeking of Clarksville; one sister, Rhynonda Creger and her husband, Doug of Waverly, Iowa; two nieces Andrea and Rebecca Creger; maternal grandfather, Hank Bruns of Clarksville; and special friends, Brent Bohlen, Dawn Koop and Sis Henning. Funeral Services were 10:30, Saturday, July 20, 2002, at Community United Methodist Church in Clarksville, with Pastors Allen and Julie Poore-Christensen officiating. Organist was Lola Clark and soloist, David Ackerman sang "The Lords Prayer." Congregational hymns were "This Little Light Of Mine" and "Jesus Loves Me." Special music was the song "Spirit In The Sky." Honorary casket bearers were Dr. Lee Fagre and Dr. Louis Letendre. Casket bearers were Doug Creger, Don Gilbert, Mike Gilbert, Kevin Gilbert, Wayne Gilbert, Randy Gilbert and Rich Gilbert. Interment was in Lynwood Cemetery, Clarksville, Iowa.
