Description	:	"Blanche Mabel Coon was born at Albany, Nebraska on January 27, 1894 and passed away April 11, 1938 at the St. Joseph's Hospital at Alliance, Nebraska. Her childhood and young womanhood were spent at Albany, and on December 20, 1911, she was united in marriage to Mr. Carl Tausan. For two years, they lived on a farm north of Gordon and then they moved near Clinton where together they built up a comfortable and hospitable home. Read More	"Blanche Mabel Coon was born at Albany, Nebraska on January 27, 1894 and passed away April 11, 1938 at the St. Joseph's Hospital at Alliance, Nebraska. Her childhood and young womanhood were spent at Albany, and on December 20, 1911, she was united in marriage to Mr. Carl Tausan. For two years, they lived on a farm north of Gordon and then they moved near Clinton where together they built up a comfortable and hospitable home. Two sons, Kenneth and Stanley, were born to Mr. and Mrs. Tausan. To them, she was always a devoted and courageous mother. Her helpfulness and kindness were not limited to her family circle, for she was a good neighbor, never too busy to lend a hand. She took an active part in all community affairs. Shortly before her illness, she was elected president of the Federated Woman's Club of Gordon. From early childhood, Mrs. Tausan received Christian guidance. When a little girl, she walked two or three miles to Sunday school and church services. On July 16, 1923, she affiliated with the Methodist Church in Clinton and was loyal in the support of the church. From her own words, we know she loved life and did not want to leave it, but now that she is gone, the memory of her cheery smile and happy presence will linger long in the hearts of the many who held her dear. Besides her husband and two sons, she leaves to mourn her loss the following close relatives: a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Kenneth Tausan; her parents; four brothers and four sisters, namely: Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Coon; Raymond, Oscar and Henry Coon, all of Gordon; Mrs. Ella Taylor of Martin, S.D.; Mrs. Elva Parker of Gordon; Mrs. Lula Spindler of Interior, S.D.; and Mrs. Eunice Park of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; her father-in-law, Mr. G. N. Tausan of Gordon. She was preceded in death by one brother, Clarence, who passed away in childhood. Besides her relatives, she leaves a host of friends to miss her. Mrs. Tausan's funeral was conducted at the Gordon Methodist Church on Thursday afternoon, April 14, by her pastor, Rev. J. M. Etheredge of Clinton, assisted by Rev. W. B. Pardun of Gordon. She was laid to rest in the Gordon Cemetery."
