Marie was the daughter of the late James Ralph Printz and Hazel Irene Jobe Printz. On Dec. 31, 1953, Marie was married to her husband of 56 years, Ray Junior Courtney of Stanley. Read More	Blanche Marie Courtney, 79, of Luray, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Winchester Medical Center. She was born Feb. 6, 1935, in Luray. Marie was the daughter of the late James Ralph Printz and Hazel Irene Jobe Printz. On Dec. 31, 1953, Marie was married to her husband of 56 years, Ray Junior Courtney of Stanley. Ray preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2010. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Courtney Diaz and husband, Fabian "D" Diaz, of Bridgewater; a son, Ricky C. Courtney of Luray; three granddaughters and one grandson, Brandy Raye Courtney Rickard and husband, Jamie, of Stanley, Sherri Diane Courtney Wilson and husband, Adrian, of Harrisonburg, Lanae Marie Diaz Wenger and husband, Joe, of Hinton, and Joseph F. Printz of Mount Jackson; and three great-grandchildren, Cassie Nichole Hutton of Stanley, Ayden Drake Diaz of Bridgewater and Lilith-Bell Marie Wenger of Harrisonburg. Marie was also known as Granny and Nanny by the children she babysat for over 50 years. She was also known for her baking for all her friends and family — especially her famous lemon pound cakes. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 8, 2014, at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Luray by the Rev. R. Nicholas Elchelberger and Pastor Frank Painter. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Luray. A dinner will follow the service in the Fellowship Hall of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church.
