Description	:	Mrs. Blanche Petra, 84, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, at 5 p.m.; at Sunny Hill Care Center, Tama. She was born Oct. 28, 1891 on a farm east of Chelsea to Frank and Sophia Macek Novak. She received her education in a rural school. She came from a family of 12 children. She was married to Joseph V. Petra on Jan. 18, 1910 at Chelsea. Read More	Mrs. Blanche Petra, 84, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, at 5 p.m.; at Sunny Hill Care Center, Tama. She was born Oct. 28, 1891 on a farm east of Chelsea to Frank and Sophia Macek Novak. She received her education in a rural school. She came from a family of 12 children. She was married to Joseph V. Petra on Jan. 18, 1910 at Chelsea. Mrs. Petra was a member of the Z.C.B.J. After the death of her husband she continued to live in their home. She became ill and entered the Sunny Hill Care Center at Tama. Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 12 at 2 p.m., from Hrabak Funeral Home, Chelsea. Rev. Clyde King, pastor of United Methodist church at Chelsea, officiated. Burial was in the National Cemetery, Vining, la. Organist was Mrs. James Beardsley. Casket bearers were Frank Fetter, Eugene Novak, Bernard Novak, Milvoy Novak, Louis Strachota, Mark Fetter. She is survived by a brother, Frank Novak, Elberon; nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and two sisters and her husband.
