Finley died this morning at a Greenville hospital after a week's illness. Surviving are the parents, and grandparents Mr. & Mrs. J.L. Finley and Mr. & Mrs. Earle Watson, of Liberty. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock from Second Baptist Church, the Rev. Mr. Jenkins, the Rev. George Penell and the Rev. R.F. Jones officiating. I know of no cemetery on the property where the church was located at that time (intersection of Mills Avenue and Anderson Drive in Liberty). If you have information about a cemetery ever being on that property, please contact me. In all my research, this is the first time I've seen reference to a cemetery at that church. Bobbie is now buried at Liberty Memorial Gardens (AKA Gantt Memorial Park), which was created in 1953. She is buried near her parents. No death certificate seems to have been filed for her, which could have further clarified her original burial location. There are several children now buried at LMG who passed away in the 1930's & 40's whose death certificates indicate the original burial was in a different cemetery in Pickens County, SC, but have now been moved to LMG.
