Mr. Perry was born January 4, 1932, in Adolphus, Kentucky, the son of the late Herbert P. and Laura (Saylors) Perry. Perry 77, Camby, died August 1, 2009. Mr. Perry was born January 4, 1932, in Adolphus, Kentucky, the son of the late Herbert P. and Laura (Saylors) Perry. Mr. Perry graduated from Allen County High School and attended Western State University. After moving to Indiana, he became employed at American Bearing and worked as a quality assurance manager in the Division of National Lead for 30 years. He worked at Federal Mogul for 4 ½ years and was also employed as an independent contractor for the United States Government Military until his death. Early on, Mr. Perry taught one year at Walker's Chapel. An avid collector of Volkswagen Beetles, he was known as "Bugman" in the Ham Radio community. Mr. Perry was also a well respected antique watch and clock repairman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and will be fondly remembered for always having an open back door to friends and family. He married Bernice (Gregory) Perry on July 4, 1950 and was proud to have been married for 57 years prior to her death in 2007. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billie Perry. Survivors include his son, Bobbie S. Perry of Mooresville; daughter, Margie Perry Appleget of Brownsburg; granddaughter, Michele Perry-Bradley of Mooresville; great grandson, Caden Bradley of Mooresville; sisters, Willovene Shores of Frankliln, Kentucky and Annetta Overby of Franklin, Kentucky. Visitation will be on Monday, August 3, 2009, 4 to 8 p.m., in the Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel, Mooresville. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, 4 to 8 p.m., in Goad Funeral Home, Franklin, Kentucky. Services will begin at 10 a.m. in Oak Forest Church, Adolphus, Kentucky. Burial will be in Oak Forest Cemetery, Number 1, Adolphus, Kentucky. www. carlisleandson.com
