She was born April 10, 1924 in Rock, Georgia to Jacob and Nettie (Rigdon) Partridge. Bobbie married James Massie in 1945 in Thomaston, Georgia. They divorced. They had lived and farmed in Barrett, Kansas, moving to Frankfort, Kansas in the early 1960's. She had worked many years as a Nurse Aide in Marysville, Kansas and in Topeka, Kansas at Hill Haven after her second marriage to marlin Shugghart June 16, 1973. Shughart, 76, died April 8, 2001 at the Frankfort Community Care Home. She was born April 10, 1924 in Rock, Georgia to Jacob and Nettie (Rigdon) Partridge. Bobbie married James Massie in 1945 in Thomaston, Georgia. They divorced. They had lived and farmed in Barrett, Kansas, moving to Frankfort, Kansas in the early 1960's. She had worked many years as a Nurse Aide in Marysville, Kansas and in Topeka, Kansas at Hill Haven after her second marriage to marlin Shugghart June 16, 1973. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Rebecca lodge, all in Frankfort. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Marshall and Jack Partridge, and two sisters, Anntonette Holmes and Nell Jones. Survivors include three daughter, Martha Edna Ross, Vermillion, Kansas, Barbra Ann Mercer and Frances Lee Smith, both of Topeka, Kansas; two son, Thomas Jacob Massie and James William Massie, both of Vermillion, Kansas; two stepsons, Marlin and Jack Shughart, both of Topeka, Kansas; a sister, Sarah Abacrombie, Noonan, Georgia Nine grandchildren; one step granddaughter, and her first husband, James Massie, Verm- illion, Kansas. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2001 at the United Methodist Church in Vermillion, Kansas with Reverend Sam Wood officiating. Music was provided by Daisy Schober, organist and Tommie Paige Massie soloist a granddaughter. Pallbearers were Sam Quackenbush, Denny Smith, Joel Massie, Jeff Berry, Aaron Massie, Josh Massie, Tony Smith and Tim Berry. Burial was in Vermillion Cemetery, Vermillion, Kansas.
