Bonita was born on May 23, 1945, at Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of John Calvin and Dorothy I. (Niemoth) Hollowell. Bonita moved to Grand Island with her parents where she spent her childhood. She attended Trinity Lutheran School, Walnut Junior High and Grand Island Senior High. Bonita was united in marriage to Larry L. Morse on Jan. 28, 1963, at Grand Island. The couple first lived in Grand Island, Nebraska later moving to St. Libory, Nebraska. To this union two children were born, Bradley and Sheila. Bonita was united in marriage to William E. "Bill" Vejvoda on June 8, 1982, at Norman, Oklahoma. She and Bill enjoyed traveling and camping until his health declined. Bonita was his care giver for 12 years until his death on October 30, 2007. Bonita worked in the family business, The Insurance Agency Center, Ltd. in Grand Island, Nebraska for over 37 years. Bonita was a member of Stolley Park Church of Christ, Grandd Island, Nebraska where she was baptized on May 18, 2010. She enjoyed attending Ladies Bible Class and becoming close friends to the ladies in the class. She was also a member of the American Legion VFW Auxiliary and served as the secretary for several years. She had a great loved for her Country and was always volunteering to serve the Veterans. Bonita is survived by: son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Annette Morse of Grand Island, Nebraska; daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Dan Barleen of St. Paul, Nebraska; step-sons, Scott Vejvoda of Florida and Mark Vejvoda of Lincoln, Nebraska; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Jerry Bady of Grand Island, Nebraska and Mardell and Steve Larson of Funk, Nebraska; sister-in-law, Mary Hollowell of Grand Island, Nebraska; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gary and Linda Vejvoda of Grand Island, Nebraska; grandsons, Brett Morse of Grand Island, Nebraska, Derek Barleen and Tyler Barleen, both of St. Paul, Nebraska; granddaughter, Kaylyn Morse of Grand Island, Nebraska; step-grandsons, Sean Vejvoda of Lexington, North Carolina and Marshall Adams of Grand Island, Nebraska; step-granddaughters, Jessica Adams of Omaha and Breanna Morse of Grand Island, Nebraska; one great-granddaughter; two step-great-granddaughters; beloved dog, Tesla and a host of family and friends. Bonita was preceded in death by: parents; husband, Bill Vejvoda; former husband, Larry Morse and brother, James Hollowell. Memorial services were 11 a.m. Wednesday at Stolley Park Church of Christ, Grand Island, Nebraska. Minister Mike Reeves was officiator. Inurnment was in the Wiegert Cemetery north of Grand Island, Nebraska.
