Description	:	Mrs. Gene (Bonnie) Whitney was born Bonita Minnie Peterson on August 20, 1933, to Wesley W. and Genevieve (Sand) Peterson at Highmore, S.D. She attended Huron area schools. On November 18, 1950, Bonnie married Tom Flolo in Manitou Springs, Colorado. They made their home in Huron. On December 28, 1975, Bonnie married Gene Whitney in Huron and they continued to live in Huron. She is survived by her husband, Gene of Huron; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Russ Flolo of Sioux Falls, Jack and Karla Flolo of Ketchum, Idaho; two daughters and sons-in-law, Suzie and Bob McCandless of Sandy, Utah, and Sally and Mark McCullough of Jackson, Wyo.; five grandchildren, Korey Flolo, Sam and Millie McCandless, Peter McCullough, and Eric Flolo; her mother, Genevieve Layton of Akron, Iowa; one brother, Carlisle Peterson of Huron; two sisters, Mrs. Stanley (Rosella) Anderson and Lillian Fox both of Akron, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father, and one son, James Flolo. Bonnie died Sunday afternoon at her home, 541 Ohio N.W. at the age of 58.
