Description	:	Bonnie A. Schlesener, 62, of rural Hope, died Monday, November 10th, 2008, at the Salina Regional Health Center at Salina. She was born on September 3, 1946, at Stockton, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Alvina (Tatkenhorst) Luhman. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00PM, November 13th, 2008, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, (Shady Brook) Herington, with Rev. John Riebhoff officiating; burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Serving as musician will be Virginia Riebhoff. Schlesener, 62, of rural Hope, died Monday, November 10th, 2008, at the Salina Regional Health Center at Salina. She was born on September 3, 1946, at Stockton, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Alvina (Tatkenhorst) Luhman. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:00PM, November 13th, 2008, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, (Shady Brook) Herington, with Rev. John Riebhoff officiating; burial will follow at the Sunset Hill Cemetery. Serving as musician will be Virginia Riebhoff. The pallbearers are Josh Allmon, Brian Luhman, Andy Price, Jordan Sims, Dewayne Stratton, and Leroy Timm. A prayer service will be held Wednesday, November 12th, at 7pm at the Penwell-Gabel's Herington Chapel. Mrs. Schlesener was an accounting clerk for about 25 years at Alco in Abilene. She enjoyed bowling and Bible Study. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Herington. She graduated from Natoma High School with the class of 1964. She married Eldon A. Schlesener on August 12, 1972 at Natoma, KS; he survives of the home. She is also survived by son Mark Schlesener of Hope; two (2) daughters Melinda Schlesener-Stratton (husband-Dewayne) of Owasso, OK, and Angela Schlesener of Villa Rica, GA; two (2) brothers Lyle Luhman of Natoma, and Eldon Luhman of Colby; a sister Brenda Price of Salina, six grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister Byrdene Mason, a brother Merlin Luhman, and her parents. Memorials may be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; and may be sent in care of the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel, 404 S.
