Description	:	Bonnie Brookins Smith, born August 30, 1915, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the great love of her life, Hubert, on March 5, 2012 with her family by her side. She was a great witness to many people and was loved by everyone. She accepted Christ at an early age and taught Sunday School for over 50 years, influencing the lives of many. Read More	Bonnie Brookins Smith, born August 30, 1915, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and the great love of her life, Hubert, on March 5, 2012 with her family by her side. She was a great witness to many people and was loved by everyone. She accepted Christ at an early age and taught Sunday School for over 50 years, influencing the lives of many. Bonnie was a long time member of First Assembly of God and was a member of the Ladies Sunshine Class. She was predeceased by her parents, Andrew Jackson and Sara Frances Brookins, and her husband of 69 years, Hubert Smith, and sister, Bernice Lewis. She leaves behind two daughters, Mary Joyce Andrews (Charles) and Sara "Beth" Spaulding; six grandchildren, Ellen Andrews (Wayne Kraska) of Atlanta, Georgia; "Chuck" Andrews of Washington, DC; Diana Grimes (Jeff), Tony Spaulding (Ann), Rick Spaulding and Jack Spaulding (Suvi), all of the Dallas, Texas area; 9 great-grandchildren, Clint, Chase, Brad, Nicole, Ryan, Alex, Eric, Kirt and Carlie; and a special sister-in-law, Elizabeth Smith Fenyody. Funeral services will be held at First Assembly of God, Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Phil Edwards and Hilton Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Damascus Cemetery in Graceville, Florida at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Asked to be Pallbearers are Bonnie's grandsons.
