Bonnie was born March 19, 1917, in Anthon, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Grace (Coyle) Cole. In November, 1934, she married Melvin Gissible; three daughters; Lois, Leona and Sharon. They farmed in the Anita area until Melvin’s death in 1976. She was married to Herschel McCaskey in 1980; Herschel passed away in 1996. Bonnie lived in Anita until she moved to the Heritage House in 2012. Bonnie enjoyed her involvement in several organizations. For many years she was active in 4-H as a leader and judge. She was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star. She served in many capacities with the United Methodist Church in Anita. She also enjoyed serving on the Atlantic Hospital Auxiliary Board for many years. Bonnie was an avid bowler, a beautiful seamstress, embroider and quilter. It was a great joy for her to travel with family throughout the states, as well as abroad.
