DEMPSEY, 72, South Bed. The Fulton county residets were returning home from work at the Bendix corporation in South Bend. They were in a southbound car driven by Liming that was hit head-on by a northbound car driven by Dempsey that was going the wrong way on the dual-lane highway. Sevices for Boyd Schidler are pending at the Foster & Good funeral home. ----- Published in The Rochester Sentinel Monday, August 27, 1973 Boyd Schidler Final rites were conducted at 2 p.m. today in the Foster & Good funeral home for Boyd Eugene SHIDLER, 36, R.R. 2, Akron, who died at 10 p.m. Friday in Memorial hospital in South Bend from injuries suffered in an auto crash last Tuesday. The Rev. C. J. MOWRER officiated. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery in Rochester. Graveside rites were conducted by the American Legion and the VFW Posts at Rochester. Born Aug. 18, 1937, in Kewanna, he was the son of Darl and Olive COCHRAN SHIDLER of Kewana. They survive. His marriage was to Sandra K. FUCHS in July 1963 in Lakeville. He was a six-year employee of the Bendix corporation in South Bend and a member of the First Baptist church. He was a graduate of the Leiters Ford high school and served in the Air Force from 1956 to 1960. He was a member of the VFW post at Rochester. Surviving with his wife and parents are one daughter, Lisa, at home; a son, Daniel Eugene [SHIDLER], also at home; one sister, Mrs. Ronald (Darlene) BIRD, of Chicgo. One brother preceded in death.
