Description	:	John Dugick Jr. Brother Joseph His adoptive parents were John & Frieda Dugick. At his baptism he was given the name John. John grew up and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School and Omaha South High School. After High School John was active in his parish, Our Lady of Lourdes. He had several jobs including one for many years with the Omaha based Grandmothers restaurant chain. he often spoke of the friends he made with the OLL parish community and at Grandmothers. Eventually life led him to Mount Michael (His family attended the Fall Festival). He came to... Read More	John Dugick Jr. Brother Joseph His adoptive parents were John & Frieda Dugick. At his baptism he was given the name John. John grew up and attended Our Lady of Lourdes Grade School and Omaha South High School. After High School John was active in his parish, Our Lady of Lourdes. He had several jobs including one for many years with the Omaha based Grandmothers restaurant chain. he often spoke of the friends he made with the OLL parish community and at Grandmothers. Eventually life led him to Mount Michael (His family attended the Fall Festival). He came to the monastery in 1988 and after a year's novitiate, he professed his first vows as a monk on the feast of Saint Scholastics February 10-1989, when he took Joseph as his religious name. He was very nervous when reciting his vows that he read 1889 instead of 1989 bring the teasing. Any list of jobs and positions included Saturday cook at the Abbey, receptionists at the front door of the school and helped where ever he was able.
