Unexpectedly he never made it to his earthly home for God had a different plan and took him to his heavenly home. Son of: Ossie and Frances (Honeycutt) Gouge Husband of: Peggy (Hughes) Gouge. Unexpectedly he never made it to his earthly home for God had a different plan and took him to his heavenly home. Son of: Ossie and Frances (Honeycutt) Gouge Husband of: Peggy (Hughes) Gouge. They were married fifty five years. He pastored Grace Baptist Church for forty one years. He was dedicated to His service for the Lord and his church family. He was also known for visiting the sick and he had held many revivals. He was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa and friend. Predeceased by: His parents; his wife; two brothers: Reid Gouge and Ted Gouge and one son-in-law: Tommy Murphy. Survivors: Three daughters: Rhonda Murphy, Tammy Willis and Shelly Gouge; one son: Frankie Gouge (Becky); six grandchildren: Joshua Willis, Samuel Willis (Amanda), Matthew Nanney(Aubrey), William Nanney (Jordan), Taylor Hollifield (Seth) and Andy Gouge (Kalyn); four great-grandchildren: Alex Gouge, Owen Nanney, Ralph Willis and Henry Willis; one sister: Jean Hollifield (Lee); one brother: Keith Gouge (Linda); several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members, church family and friends. Services: Visitation held Friday, January 29, 2021 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Yancey Funeral Services. Funeral services held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 29, 2021, with Brother Lance Riddle and Brother Dewayne McKinney officiating. Pallbearers: Samuel Willis, Andy Gouge, Matthew Nanney, William Nanney and Seth Hollifield.
