Mr. Osborn had lived in this neighborhood but two years although he was well and favorably known, having moved into this district from an adjoining one where he spent the great part of his life. For a long time he had been afflicted with that dreaded disease consumption to which he finally succumbed. For a long time he had been afflicted with that dreaded disease consumption to which he finally succumbed. Although it was generally known that his health was much impaired, his death was a great shock to his family to whom he was much devoted. Mr. Osborn was very domestic in his taste. He was a man of whom we never heard an unkind expression and his friends must have been many, for they came from far and near to follow the remains to its last long resting peace. Mr. Osborn was not afraid to die yet he fought death with a courage seldom excelled for he wanted to stay with his family until he could see all of the children enabled to face the battle of life. He was a member of the Woodsmen, in which lodge he carried an insurance policy. The floral offerings were many. He leaves a wife and four children, Wint, Leo, Edna and Hallie to mourn his early demise. He was also a brother to Mrs. John Crater. To these afflicted ones, and to the wife especially, we sympathize, but sympathy at best is poor condolence for such a bereavement.
