Dale Jolly and daughter of the late Jack Rice and Jeanette Elmore Rice. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from the Cherokee County Probation and Parole Board, and a member of Providence Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School class. Read More	Brenda Rice Jolly, 77, of 437 Cherokee National Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Born in Gaffney, she was the widow of the late B. Dale Jolly and daughter of the late Jack Rice and Jeanette Elmore Rice. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School, retired from the Cherokee County Probation and Parole Board, and a member of Providence Baptist Church where she was a member of the Fidelis Sunday School class. She loved her family, organizing family vacations to Pawley's Island, the theatre and attending plays. She was an avid reader and her favorite book was the Bible. Her house was always open for family gatherings, especially in the Summer and around the holidays. She is survived by a son, Bradford Jolly of Gaffney; two daughters, Tracy Pavlish (J Scott) of Charlotte, NC and Alyson Pearson (Michael) of Gaffney; two brothers, Billy Ray Rice (Becky) and Jack Rice (Janice), both of Gaffney; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Dale & Gay Snellings of Gaffney and sister-in-law Betty Rice of Gaffney; seven grandchildren, Jack Pavlish, Ben Pavlish, Tucker Earls, M. J. Pearson, Zach Jolly, Georgia Pavlish and J. B. Jolly; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dean Rice, a sister, Faye Frady and a daughter-in-law, Jenny Jolly. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM at the Church with Dr. Scott Peterson officiating. Entombment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Social distancing and masks are requested. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Providence Baptist Church, "Lottie Moon Christmas Offering", 822 Providence Road, Gaffney, SC 29341. The family will be at the residence, 437 Cherokee National Highway, Gaffney, SC 29341.
