He was born May 30, 1956, in Fairfield to Virgil and Darleen McKee Watson. He married Ronda Kay Hugen July 3, 1975, in Ottumwa. Brent graduated from Van Buren High School, Keosauqua, and attended Indian Hills College, Ottumwa. He lived his life in Stockport where he had worked at Prairie Grain Co., was in business with his father in Watson Plumbing, Heating and Electric and served as rural letter carrier out of the Stockport post office. He had also been the Stockport sewer and water superintendent. Brent was a member of Stockport Christian Church, Stockport Fire Department and was active in Van Buren Sports Boosters and other school activities. Ronda survives along with his parents of Stockport; two sons, Nathon Kyle Watson (Bonnie) and Nicolas Jay Watson (Alice) of Stockport; six grandchildren, Tyra Jade, Kaylee Lorraine, Jakob Kean, Alex Randy, Hannah Butterfly and Phoenix Starr; a sister, Annita Rettig (Rich) of Tripoli; a brother, Jan Watson (Mary) of Urbandale; nieces and nephew; other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 20, 2009, at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua, with John Griffith officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery, rural Stockport.
