He was ill only two weeks previous to his death. He was uptown visiting with friends the day he was taken to the hospital. He attended school and grew to manhood in Selden, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Georgia Boldosier on December 30, 1916 at Norton. They lived on a farm west of Selden for several years, then moved to town where he engaged in the Real Estate business. He is survived by his wife, Georgia; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Curtis and Mrs. Oda Simpson, Houston, Texas and Mrs. Ruth Garrett, Oakley and one brother, Charlie, Houston, Tex. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Georgia, many relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services were held in the Selden Methodist Church on Friday, Feb. 10, 1961 at 2:00 p.m. under the Ministry of the Pastor,The Rev. W. Ralph Long. Earl Mountford and Ronald Gregory were the singers who sang: "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross". They were accompanied by Mrs. Vesta Shea at the organ. Pall bearers were: Connie Robinson, Vic Wagoner, Floyd Chase, Glenn Pope, Walt Walkey and Walt Brantley. Arrangements were by Paul's Funeral Home, Selden. Internment was made in the Dresden Cemetery.
