Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Savage under the direction of the Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney. Bruce Madsen was born Sept. 9, 1961, in Sidney to parents Violet and Elver Madsen. He was the youngest of three children. He graduated from Savage High School with the class of 1979. After graduation, Bruce worked for numerous oil field companies in the Sidney area. He married Julia (Joann) Wakefield Sept. 17,1982, in Savage. Later, they moved to California and Kansas where he was a landscaper and built boat docks. They returned to Sidney, where Bruce continued working the oilfield. On Feb 5, 1993, Bruce graduated from Alamo Telephone Training Center in Columbia Falls. He went to work for R.C. Communications and helped his father Elver with E.L.M. code seminars. At the time of his death he was employed with Pennant Service Company in Sidney. Bruce loved to fish and hunt with his family. He enjoyed life to its fullest and had a sense of humor everyone will remember. He was well known for making snow angels in the snow and now he is among those angels. Bruce was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Savage. Bruce died Dec 15, 1993, in an automobile fire. He is survived by his wife, Joann, his father Elver of Savage and E. Helena, mother Violet, a sister Carla Maldonado, a brother Jeff Madsen, one nephew Eric, five nieces, Sari, Janna, Alicia, Jill Madsen and Desirae Maldonado all of Savage. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Graveside committal services for Bruce Madsen, 32, of Savage, was held April 27, 1994 at the Riverview Cemetery in Savage. Pastor Bob Chenault will officiate with burial under the direction of Fulkerson Funeral Home of Sidney.
