Rinker, 50, of Monon, passed away May 10, 2011 He was born May 30, 1960 in Lafayette to the late Harold D. and Merna (Barner) Rinker and was a 1978 graduate of North White High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984 and Master’s degree in 1986 in Education from Ball State. Rinker, 50, of Monon, passed away May 10, 2011 He was born May 30, 1960 in Lafayette to the late Harold D. and Merna (Barner) Rinker and was a 1978 graduate of North White High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1984 and Master’s degree in 1986 in Education from Ball State. Mr. Rinker taught at Connersville High School from 1985 to 1990 and then worked in Social Services with special needs adults for REM from 1991 – 1999, Four County from 1999 – 2001, Heartland Employment from 2001 – 2002, CDC from 2002 – 2005, Martin Services from 2005 – 2006 and Wabash Valley School Base as a Case Manager from 2006 – 2007. He was currently employed by KIRPC (Kankakee Iroquois Regional Planning Commission) involved in traffic count work. Mr. Rinker was an active member in the Monon United Methodist Church where he was a lay leader, youth leader, member of the choir and also on the dartball team. He was President of the Monon Town Council from 2005 to present and was a member of the KIRPC Board. He was also on the Committee to Develop and Implement Leadership White County and was a 2009 graduate of that program. Bryan was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was a member of the “Die Hard Cubs Fan Club”. He also loved watching sports including the Indianapolis Colts, Purdue Boilermakers and the Indiana Pacers. Surviving is a brother, William A. Rinker of Monon and a sister, Esther Hardy of Monticello.
