Description	:	Death of Byron H. Dana Byron H. Dana was born at Dickinson, Franklin County, New York, December 26, 1847. While still a small boy, he moved with his parents to Cook County, Ill., where they lived for thirteen years, when the family moved to Bremer county, Ia. He was married in Iowa on January 1, 1869 to Miss Sarah A. Silsbee. Two children were born to this union, Mrs. Jerome Sharp and Mrs. H.M. Stocking, both of Creighton. Dana was born at Dickinson, Franklin County, New York, December 26, 1847. While still a small boy, he moved with his parents to Cook County, Ill., where they lived for thirteen years, when the family moved to Bremer county, Ia. He was married in Iowa on January 1, 1869 to Miss Sarah A. Silsbee. Two children were born to this union, Mrs. Jerome Sharp and Mrs. H.M. Stocking, both of Creighton. In 1884 he came to Nebraska, settling on a homestead 12 miles west of Creighton, where he lived until the death of his wife, September 13, 1908. He united with the Presbyterian church of Millerboro, Nebr., in January, 1895, on confession of faith and has endeavored to live a consistent Christian life. He was married the 3rd of November, 1913 to Miss Clara Baer and died at Corpus Christi, Tex., Saturday, February 28. Mr. Dana was a man of sterling integrity. He possessed to a remarkable degree the faculty of winning and holding friends and he will be missed by them all. His long residence here had given him a wide acquaintance among men and when word came of his death, many were the expressions of sorrow. He but recently sold his farm and was prepared to take a well earned rest, when the call came. The sympathy of his large circle of friends is given to the bereaved widow and daughters. Funeral services were held at the Congregational church in Creighton on Thursday at on p.m., conducted by Rev. W.A. Alcorn and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery at Millerboro by the side of the wife of his youth, there to await the coming of the King. ...The Creighton News 5 March 1914
