Dana was born in Horton, Bremer county, Iowa**, September 2, 1854, came to Nebraska in 1905 and died at Mars, Nebraska, August 3, 1916, aged sixty-one years, eleven months and one day. She was a child of God, having been baptized and joined the Congregational church at Bassett, Iowa. She was the youngest of twelve children and the last of the family to leave for the Heavenly Home. Her last sickness was very brief, but for several years she suffered severely, but intermittently from the ailment, which resulted in her death. The funeral occurred Friday morning. Brief services were held at the home residence by Mr. Morrill and a quartet of singers. The Rev. A.R. Jones, pastor of the Congregational church of Creighton preached the sermon at the Millerboro Presbyterian church. Interment took place in the adjoining cemetery.The committal being read by Rev. A.R.
