He was born November 23, 1915, in Uniontown, Kansas, the son of William Emry Johnson and Leota Blanche (Ramsey) Johnson. He was a graduate of the Uniontown High School. Read More	************************* Published Feb. 12, 2010 - Iola, Kansas Buford William Johnson, age 94, resident of Bronson, Kansas, died Friday, February 12, 2010, at the Moran Manor Nursing Home in Moran, Kansas. He was born November 23, 1915, in Uniontown, Kansas, the son of William Emry Johnson and Leota Blanche (Ramsey) Johnson. He was a graduate of the Uniontown High School. Buford married Reta Mae Ermel on May 21, 1939, at Fort Scott, Kansas. In his earlier years, he had worked at the Holt Dairy and delivered milk to the Bronson and Uniontown areas. They resided for a time in Colorado where Buford owned a ranch. They later returned to Bronson where he worked for the Bronson Grain Company for thirty-five years. He was a member of the Bronson Baptist Church. He loved fishing and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He spent many hours keeping his lawn and garden neat and immaculate and enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor. He was also an avid Chiefs fan and was often seen wearing his red Kansas City Chiefs hat. Survivors include his wife, Reta Mae, of the home in Bronson, KS; two sons, Vlad Johnson, and wife, Donna of Wamego, KS, and Wesley Johnson and wife, Billie Sue, of Bronson, KS; two daughters, Judy Wilson and husband, Rex, of Bronson, KS, and Ronda Murrow of Uniontown, KS; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Russell Johnson. Pastor Rob Mauk will conduct funeral services Tuesday, February 16, 2010, in the Bronson Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Bronson Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Mercy Transportation Fund and may be sent to Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
