Description	:	Funeral Today for B. Bourne Burness Bourne, auditor of Georgetown County, died unexpectedly at his home here Wednesday. He had been in declining health for some time. Mr. Bourne was born May 6, 1885, at Sampit in Georgetown County. He was a son of the late Benjamin Dailey Bourne and the late Mrs. Sarah Lenora Bourne. He attended the Citadel, the Medical College of South Carolina and was graduated from the Poughskeepsie NY prior to becoming auditor, which he had begun serving his fifth consecutive term, he operated a hardware store here. Mr. Bourne was a member of... Read More	Funeral Today for B. Bourne Burness Bourne, auditor of Georgetown County, died unexpectedly at his home here Wednesday. He had been in declining health for some time. Mr. Bourne was born May 6, 1885, at Sampit in Georgetown County. He was a son of the late Benjamin Dailey Bourne and the late Mrs. Sarah Lenora Bourne. He attended the Citadel, the Medical College of South Carolina and was graduated from the Poughskeepsie NY prior to becoming auditor, which he had begun serving his fifth consecutive term, he operated a hardware store here. Mr. Bourne was a member of Duncan Memorial Methodist Church and also served as treasurer of Prince George Church, Winyah. Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Alberta Collins, four sons, Benjamin W. Bourne of Norman Okla; Burness Jr., of the Navy stationed at Pensacola Fla; John Bourne and David Bourne, both of Georgetown; three daughters Miss Margaret Bourne of Charlotte NC, Mrs. Hugh Callahan of Rutherford NC; and Miss Virginia Ann Bourne of Georgetown. Also surviving are a brother J. Manning Bourne of Atlanta and a sister, Miss Ann R. Bourne of Georgetown. Funeral services will be conducted today at 3 pm from Duncan Methodist Church, of which he was a member, by the Rev. Dr. C. C. Herbert, a former pastor, and the Rev. H. D. Bull, rector of Prince George, Winyah. Burial will be in the Prince George Churchyard Winyah.
